With the end of summer quickly approaching, Center for Independent Futures (CIF) participants and staff eagerly anticipated their upcoming adventure at Graduate Life Tools camp 2012. Excitement was abuzz at the South Haven cabin as everyone settled in and began planning the week’s meals, grocery list and activities. As in years past, the entire group captured their goals on large poster paper and referred to them throughout the week to keep track of their progress and accomplishments.
As always, Campers had many opportunities to work on their CIF Full Life Model™ My Place circle goals around cooking skills, meal prep, housework, laundry and doing dishes while at camp. Oh boy, was there a lot of work to be done!
In addition, goals in the other Full Life Model™ circles including Connections, Fun & Talents and Wellness were also touched upon. The group bonded while watching movies & eating popcorn, hiking the Kal Haven Trail, splashing around at the beach, playing bocce ball and getting lunch and ice cream in town. It was a great week and we are already looking forward to next year!
The following are just a few Graduate Camper stories…and a link to our photos!
