Center for Independent Futures’ seventh annual Something’s Cooking provided a festive and food-filled afternooon for more than 300 guests on Sunday, November 7th at Prairie Moon in Evanston. The event featured a tasting of signature dishes served by nine of the area’s finest chefs, a culinary-themed silent auction showcasing items donated by 50 local businesses, and a spread of sweets and spirits for guests to enjoy.

This year, a record number of 48 volunteers gave their time and energy to help cook up a successful fundraising event. CIF is pleased to announce that Something’s Cooking 2010 brought in more than $25,000 to support its mission to create new solutions for individuals with disabilities and their families. CIF would like to thank Prairie Moon, the chefs who donated their delicious food and time, the auction sponsors, and all of the event volunteers.
